Dominic Solanke has missed Tottenham’s last two matches

The North London derby is always a highlight in the fixture calendar, however, the thought of the Woolwich securing the bragging rights on our own turf this early on in the campaign is not worth thinking about.

The visitors have been the dominating force out of the two sides in recent times and could secure a hat-trick of consecutive victories for the first time in history.

Spurs are aiming to get one over their bitter rivals for the first time since May 2022. On that occasion, a brace from Harry Kane and a third from Heung-min Son earned them a 3-0 win against the 10 men of Arsenal, who had defender Rob Holding dismissed in the first half.

Tottenham are boosted by the return of big-money summer signing Dominic Solanke following his ankle injury, while there is plenty of pace at the back with Micky van de Ven recalled after sitting out the Newcastle United defeat due to the knee issue he picked up in the second half of the win at home to Everton.

Micky van de Ven is fit and returns to the Spurs starting eleven

Arsenal are without some of their key players with Declan Rice serving a one-match suspension while instrumental midfielder Martin Odegaard picked up an injury issue while on international duty with Norway in midweek.

This is who takes to the field at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium today:

Tottenham Hotspur: Vicario, Porro, Van de Ven, Romero, Udogie, Kulusevski, Bentancur, Johnson, Maddison, Son, Solanke.

Subs: Forster, Spence, Davies, Dragusin, Sarr, Gray, Bergvall, Odobert, Werner

Arsenal: Raya; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Timber; Jorginho, Partey; Saka, Havertz, Trossard, Martinelli.

Subs: Neto, Kiwior, Kacurri, Heaven, Lewis-Skelly, Sterling, Nwaneri, Jesus, Kabia.

A tense 90 minutes awaits both sets of fans, hopefully, the white half of North London are the ones celebrating.

What time does Spurs vs Arsenal kick-off?

The match kicks off at 2pm BST and fans who have not been fortunate enough to secure a ticket will be able to watch it live on Sky Sports Premier League.
