Piers Morgan believes that Arsenal have the best defence and goalkeeper in world football at the moment and Spurs will simply not be able to score on Sunday.

While Arsenal would have come into the North London Derby as favourites, that might no longer be the case, with the Gunners expected to be without several key players for the big game.

According to reports, Mikel Arteta might be without seven senior players for his side’s trip to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, including Declan Rice and potentially Martin Odegaard (Football.London).

However, there is certainly confidence among Arsenal fans that their side will register their third consecutive away win at Spurs despite all the setbacks.

Martin Keown has asked the Arsenal players to use the injuries as added motivation and suggested that the Gunners still have the quality to emerge with all three points from N17 on Sunday, especially given their defensive strength (talkSPORT via MSN).

Piers Morgan says Arsenal simply will not concede

Morgan has now gone a step further, insisting that no one in world football has a back five as strong as Arsenal.

The journalist and TV presenter told talkSPORT (via Football.London): “I think we’ve got the best defence and goalkeeper in world football. We’ve got back-ups for that defence, we’ve got six or seven guys at the back who I think are going to be utterly impregnable.”

There is no doubt that Arsenal had the best defence in the Premier League last season but a lot of that was also down to the personnel in midfield and their organisation.

Without Declan Rice’s legs in the middle of the park and the control that Odegaard offers in posession, their backline would be a lot more exposed, which is why Tottenham should fancy their chances of putting a couple past them on Sunday.
