Gazzetta dello Sport have revealed that AC Milan are set to hold a fresh meeting with Tottenham over Emerson Royal, with the two clubs said to have made plenty of progress in the negotiations.
Spurs are in key talks with AC Milan
The report says that the operation to take Emerson to the San Siro has now entered a ‘key moment’ as the two parties are now ready for a new meeting in the next few hours.
It is explained that Milan have already done a lot of work to bring down Tottenham’s initial request, which stood at €30m. The Rossoneri are allegedly ready to do the deal at around €18m-€20m or €15m plus bonuses.
While the Premier League side have not agreed to those terms, they are said to be ‘ready to listen’ to what the Serie A side are proposing.
Decisive hours are incoming for Emerson to AC Milan
As a result, the outlet says that ‘decisive hours’ are now coming up in Milan’s pursuit of Emerson, with the negotiations not expected to drag on for too long.
The publication adds that despite receiving offers from other clubs, the 25-year-old favours a move to the Serie A side as he feels he can feature regularly in Paulo Fonseca’s starting eleven.
This could be a transfer to keep an eye on this week as talks progress.

Tottenham will ideally want to offload Emerson, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Djed Spence and Giovani Lo Celso within the next two or three weeks so that they can free up the wage bill for new arrivals.
Emerson could well be the first of that bunch to leave.
