Body pulled from Lake Michigan at Belmont Harbor

Detectives are conducting a death investigation after a man’s body was pulled from Lake Michigan at Belmont Harbor Wednesday morning.

The 63-year-old was recovered from the water about 9:35 a.m. in the 3500 block of North Belmont Harbor Drive and was pronounced dead at the scene, Chicago police said.

He was identified as Timothy Peyton, of Dyer, Indiana, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

No other information was released.
