Boy, 16, wounded in New City shooting
A teenage boy was shot and wounded Saturday in the New City neighborhood.
The 16-year-old was near the sidewalk about 5:50 p.m. in the 5200 block of South Laflin Street when someone fired shots, Chicago police said.
He suffered a gunshot wound to his calf and was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital, where he was listed in good condition, police said.
No one is in custody, and detectives are investigating.
