3 held in kidnapping of 2-year-old girl on South Side
A woman and two men have been charged in connection with the kidnapping of a 2-year-old girl Wednesday on the South Side.
The girl was abducted at gunpoint by her 22-year-old biological mother and two men about 4:50 a.m. in the 4800 block of South Michigan Avenue, according to Chicago and Illinois State Police. They then fled with the girl in the stolen SUV.
The girl was found unharmed about 8 p.m. Wednesday, police said.
On Friday, police said the three suspects has been arrested. They were identified as Angelique Mobley, 22, Lamon Weathers, 33, and Matthew Price, 27.
Mobley and Weathers were arrested just before 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 6300 block of South Kedzie Avenue, and Price was arrested just after midnight Thursday in the 1600 block of South Central Park Avenue in North Lawndale, police said.
Mobley was charged with kidnapping, residential burglary and child abduction, police said. Weathers was charged with aggravated kidnapping and home invasion, and Price was charged with aggravated kidnapping, home invasion and possession of a stolen vehicle.
All three were expected to appear in court Saturday.
