Man hospitalized after South Lawndale shooting

A man was hospitalized after a shooting in South Lawndale early Friday morning, according to Chicago police.

The man, 47, was on a bicycle in the 3400 block of West Cermak Road at 12:04 a.m. when someone in a black SUV drove past and shot him, police said. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition.

No one is in custody.
