ICE Numbers Offer Chilling Proof of Kamala’s Illegal Alien Crime Crisis

0

It’s worse than you think.

By now, many Americans have grown numb to the relentless nightmare of illegal aliens who rob, beat, rape, and kill U.S. citizens. The names Laken Riley, Rachel Morin, and Jocelyn Nungaray — all killed by illegal aliens — offer grim reminders of this bloody mess. Even worse, these and other lethal illegals were welcomed with open arms by Border Czarina Kamala Harris, in abrogation of her official oath to “defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.”

But even those who follow America’s no-borders catastrophe might think that violent illegal aliens numbered in the hundreds or perhaps a thousand.

We should be so lucky.

In what National Review’s Jim Geraghty called “the mother of all Friday-afternoon news dumps,” in response to a March 13 letter from Rep. Tony Gonzales (R–Texas), Patrick J. Lechleitner of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement replied on Sept. 25, just six months and 10 days later.

“As of July 21, 2024, there were 662,566 noncitizens with criminal histories on ICE’s national docket, which includes those detained by ICE, and on the agency’s non-detained docket,” Lechleitner wrote Gonzales. This figure exceeds Vermont’s 2023 population of 647,464.

“Of those,” Lechleitner added, “435,719 are convicted criminals, and 226,847 have pending criminal charges.” These are enough illegal-alien criminal convicts to fill Oakland, California, and sufficient suspected felons for a second Huntsville, Alabama.

Among these convicted violent criminals, 62,231 illegal aliens committed assault and rival the population of Santa Fe, New Mexico. The 15,811 who perpetrated rape or sexual assault approximate the enrollment of St. Louis’ Washington University. The 13,099 illegals found guilty of homicide parallel the student body of Vanderbilt University in Nashville.

These statistics sicken lawmakers.

“When I got this letter,” Rep. Gonzales told Fox News anchor John Roberts, “my stomach turned. My heart sank. To see these numbers on paper just goes to show how real this threat is.”

“My speech at the Republican National Convention was titled, ‘Every Damn Day,’ because every damn day, another American is murdered, another woman is raped, and another child is sexually assaulted by an illegal immigrant that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have released,” Sen. Ted Cruz (R–Texas) told me. “These numbers are just staggering. Every one of these criminal illegal aliens should be arrested and either put in jail or deported. If, God forbid, Kamala Harris gets elected in November, the numbers will be higher. More criminals will be released, more Americans will be murdered, and more children will be raped by the illegal immigrants being released by these Democrats.”

“ICE says there are 425K+ CONVICTED criminals in our country illegally that the Biden-Harris admin. isn’t detaining,” Sen. John Kennedy (R–Louisiana) remarked via X. “Imagine how many we don’t know about.”

As outrage boiled over these stunning revelations, the Harris administration leapt in to lower the temperature. Team Kamala deployed an anonymous source to reduce to a simmer the controversy that its own acting ICE director ignited.

“The data goes back decades; it includes individuals who entered the country over the past 40 years or more, the vast majority of whose custody determination was made long before this administration,” an unnamed press aide said in a statement Sunday. “It also includes many who are under the jurisdiction or currently incarcerated by federal, state or local law enforcement partners.”

If this “going back decades” distinction were so important, the ICE letter should have highlighted it. Perhaps Lechleitner considered this qualification trivial, particularly if the lion’s share of these dangerous illegals “belong to Kamala.”

This letter was dated Sept. 25, two days after Kamala’s campaign announced plans to visit the border late last week. She arrived Friday, spent an exhausting 20 minutes posing beside the southern border wall, and then bolted. Did Lechleitner suddenly reply to Rep. Gonzales’ March 13 letter to pour an ICE bucket over Kamala’s vibes of joy, down Mexico way?

Either way, U.S. Senate candidate and current Rep. Jim Banks (R–Indiana) is not impressed by this invisible federal mouthpiece’s muddling intervention: “DHS doing PR for the Biden-Harris administration isn’t any comfort to the parents of Laken Riley or the countless other families who have had loved ones brutally murdered by illegals let in by Joe Biden and his Border Czar, Kamala Harris.”

“The burden of proof for the claim that these are mostly people who entered years or decades ago should be on the anonymous DHS spokesperson,” Ira Mehlman of the Federation for American Immigration Reform told me. “My guess is that if Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has the data, he would release it.”

Smokescreens from shadowy hacks aside, it also is as clear as fog how many of these brutal illegal aliens invaded on Kamala’s watch versus those who broke in earlier.

“I can’t tell you exactly how many are murderers and rapists, but I can tell you that as recently as June 2021, the number of criminal aliens that ICE had released to the non-detained docket was 405,786,” explained Jessica Vaughan, director of policy studies at the Center for Immigration Studies. “Since the current number is 435,719, that means that 29,933 were released while Kamala Harris was border czarina. We do not know when they all entered, just that they were released since June 2021. It is reasonable to assume that most of them are recent arrivals.”

Vaughan’s calculator kept clicking:

Doing the math, that’s 9,977 criminal aliens being released to our communities each year under Biden-Harris, instead of being removed to their home countries. In contrast, in the five years from August 2016 to June 2021, the total number went from 368,574 to 405,786, for an average of ‘only’ 7,442. But considering that ICE has hardly been allowed to arrest anyone recently, it’s significant that they released nearly 10,000 a year under Biden-Harris. They are releasing more people from a smaller pool of criminals.

While Vaughan’s arithmetic is worthy and appreciated, it is morally repugnant that Americans like her must resort to veritable algebra word problems to estimate how many violent criminals have barged into the USA on Kamala’s watch, where they are, and how soon ICE can get them the hell out of here.

While these precise answers are maddeningly elusive, what we do know is terrifying enough: At least 13,099 murderers, 15,811 rapists, 14,301 burglars, 2,521 kidnappers, and 792 arsonists — all convicts — are outside ICE custody. Some are in local and state prisons. Others could be peering through your windows — right now.

How many of these thugs are at large? Where are each of them?

No one knows, not least Kamala Harris. This is reason enough to tell the border czarina: “You’re fired!”
