It’s a different style. Tuchel has his wingers attacking the full backs and going outside them. That opens up space inside. Foden just isn’t that type of player. He had a poor year last year but this year he has been excellent and the year before scored a hatful and was players’ player of the year. He’s extraordinarily gifted, but he needs to play inside in my view - if he plays. There’s a host of contenders we have but Foden surely needs to be in a squad at least. Grealish not so much. I think he slows the play too much for Tuchel but he is a very clever footballer.
