lowercaserMy front 'lawn' is the same. Its in complete shadow of the house for 6 months of the year and doesn't get much sun even in the Summer. I've found the best thing to do is wait until there is a long dry spell and then the moss is much easier to rake out. I use an electric rake/ scarifier type thing which isn't very good but takes abt 95% of the hard work out of the job.
The moss collected can be composted or used as a mulch around plants to reduce evaporation in hot weather or to line hanging baskets.
Eff that... I'd need a couple of skips if i scarified my "lawns".
