He was ok.
He has lots of energy, some lovely skills, and good movement that's for sure. However, in 76 games for Blues, he's only got 3 assists and scored 3 goals. A central midfielder really need to be doing better than that for a club with top 6 aspirations. Particularly if you're pairing him with a defensive midfielder like Iwata.
Sergio Busquets played 707 games for Barcelona he scored 17 goals and got 44 assists. His role wasn’t to play the final pass, or burst into the box. He was the metronome

Go and look at G/A stats for any number 6 throughout their career.
