Re: Charged
derbyblueand the ref remains blameless in this, despite contributing all match to what ended up happening at the death
does it really need an investigation other than to line the coffers of the FA or whoever - nothing really happened!
the wording on BBC Sport is odd
“In a statement, the FA said the clubs were alleged to have "failed to ensure their players didn't behave in an improper and/or provocative way around the 95th minute”
i’d say that both clubs ensured their players DID behave in an improper and provocative way!!!
The charge, as it always does from the FA, uses the words of the rule in question - in this case:
E20 Each Affiliated Association, Competition and Club shall be responsible for ensuring that its directors, players, officials, employees, servants, representatives, conduct themselves in an orderly fashion whilst attending any match and do not:
E20.1 use words or otherwise behave in a way which is improper, offensive, violent, threatening, abusive, indecent, insulting or provocative.
IPSWICH players were definitely provocative. Both sets of players behaved improperly.
