ThrillhouseI find it quite hard to explain to non-wrestling fans why I love it so much.
It’s a combination of the melodrama, the athleticism, the risk, the increasingly diminished ability to tell interesting stories (in and out of the ring), the absolute madness that is the industry, the completely unique star power of the very best in the game… it’s a melting pot of all these things that sum to something I find absolutely fascinating.
I’ve toyed with trying it out in the past. There’s a school in Digbeth on the way up to St Andrews. But not had the bottle.
Must admit when I’ve seen it I’ve only seen it as pretty banal and frankly, the acting when one lot are calling the other out, wooden and deeply stupid.
Seems to appeal to a lot I appreciate.
