"All clubs in the top 4 tiers could be US owned" (2 replies)

Now being honest if I had to pick I would sooner have more clubs being owned by people and organisations from somewhere like the US than from countries where businesses practices can often be more opaque (we've seen just how many problems can be caused by that ourselves).
I do wonder though why even lower down the football scale clubs are attracting investment from abroad. I mean I get why Knighthead bought us, the potential is obvious but why are US owners taking over Barrow, Walsall etc? What on earth are they seeing in terms of potential in clubs like that?
Why aren't English people buying our clubs as well? I mean we have plenty of rich people in this country, why is it so few of our clubs ever get sold to anybody from England nowadays? Only two clubs in recent times where ownership has passed from to an Englishman or English based consortium are Man Utd and Coventry.
