Sunday Nights
The Amazon thread got me thinking about something that has bothered me for a long time. So what if he delivered after 6pm on a Sunday.
Why does Britain completely stop at about 5pm on a Sunday night. Virtually every other country seems to maximise their weekends with stuff going on to the early hours on Monday morning.
Spain have football matches all evening, the US has sport on. In most places there's a pretty lively nightlife. In Britain it seems like everything must end early evening and everyone should focus on their week ahead.
With only two days off out of the seven, why is a big part of it dedicated to the week ahead. It's bugged me for years, sitting around waiting for another week at work. Sundays should be for the smash.
I get there is hangover from more religious times but it's still weird .
