Siri with ChatGPT has launched in iOS 18.2 beta, here’s how to get it
Siri has had a huge AI-powered upgrade in Apple’s latest software update iOS 18.2, as it now has ChatGPT by its side.
The iPhone maker released the next batch of its Apple Intelligence features through a beta launch to developers on Wednesday (October 23) with one of the most notable changes being the integration of ChatGPT.
This long-awaited introduction has finally happened as the chatbot and Siri merge together to provide better answers to users’ questions.
Through this new update, users can ask Siri to carry out an action and it’ll then pass it on to ChatGPT to fulfill the demand. This includes being able to utilize its image and document understanding capabilities, without having to jump between different apps and tools.
“Siri can tap into ChatGPT’s expertise when helpful. Users are asked before any questions are sent to ChatGPT, along with any documents or photos, and Siri then presents the answer directly,” shared Apple in a statement when first introducing the Intelligence features.
