We stopped for a quick wander around the stone walls of Prudhoe Castle perched high on the south bank of the river Tyne. This castle has the reputation of having never been captured by the Scots throughput the many sieges and battle it was involved in.

Our wander today included several hours hiking up and around the Old Man of Storr trail about fifteen minutes from the town of Portree. It is a steep trail but the views along the way distract from the huffing and puffing as you make you way up. So many incredible views as you climb higher.
The temperatures today in Ottawa made it feel like a hot July day instead of October. The wind gods dropped by Britannia and finally provided some power for the wind addicted crew to enjoy.

Fall colours are starting to spread across the forest canopy, weather is perfect for bike riding along the tril system at Qild Quarry in the Ottawa green belt.
Cold nights have started creeping in with the odd chance of a frost but we continue to enjoy warm and sunny afternoons here in the Ottawa valley. Dropped by the WT bike park to see some friends and grabbed a few shots of them enjoying the beautiful fall weather.
