French town halls raise the Palestinian flag in defiance of interior ministry order

Ahead of President Emmanuel Macron’s expected recognition of the state of Palestine at the UN on Monday, almost two dozen French town halls raised the Palestinian flag above their entrances despite the interior ministry's warning not to do so. "The principle of neutrality in public service prohibits such displays," the interior ministry said.
