Western powers denounce Israel’s settlement plan dividing future Palestinian state

Twenty-one countries, including France and Britain, issued a joint statement condemning Israel’s planned expansion in the West Bank as unacceptable and a violation of international law. The proposed settlement of about 3,400 homes, known as E1, would divide the West Bank and further undermine the possibility of a two-state solution. Morgan Ayre reports.
