Paris rebuffs Netanyahu over accusations of antisemitism

After Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused French President Emmanuel Macron of “fueling antisemitism” by backing recognition of a Palestinian state, the Élysée hit back. In a statement, the French presidency called the remarks “abject” and “erroneous,” stressing that France will always stand by its Jewish citizens and that Netanyahu’s claims “will not go unanswered.”
