Palestinians in Gaza mark start of Eid with 'no access to food'
Palestinians in Gaza are marking the start of Eid, a religious holiday, with “no access to food”, FRANCE 24’s Noga Tarnopolsky said, reporting from Jerusalem. Aid distribution in the enclave was halted on Friday after the US and Israeli-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) said overcrowding had made it unsafe to continue operations. Citing the WHO, Tarnopolsky said Palestinians had to “either risk severe malnutrition, or death from starvation, or death from the shootings that have surround the delivery facilities”.
