Cannes hit by power outage on final day of film festival

Cannes and surrounding areas in the south of France were hit by a power cut on Saturday which briefly paused morning screenings on the final day of the city's annual film festival. Organisers said they had switched to an alternative electricity supply to ensure the closing ceremony would go ahead as planned.
