King Abdullah rebuffs Trump’s proposal to take in displaced Palestinians
Jordan's King Abdullah said he reiterated, during a meeting with President Donald Trump, his country's and the region's 'steadfast opposition' to the U.S. leader's plan to resettle millions of Palestinians out of Gaza. This came after President Trump pressed the King to take in Palestinians who would be permanently displaced under his proposal for the U.S. to take control of the Gaza Strip. Earlier in the day, Abdullah had told Trump that he could take in 2,000 Palestinian children from Gaza who are very sick or have cancer.
