'We value life, every life: The people still alive must be brought back, reunited with loved ones'

As several more Israeli hostages return to their families, following 15 months of captivity, FRANCE 24's Mark Owen welcomes Anat Ron-Kendall from Hostages Square in Tel Aviv. Ms. Ron-Kendall lost her father on October 7th, when Hamas militants and their allies launched the deadliest attack ever on Israeli soil. As she continues to grieve the loss of her father and the lives of so many others brutally taken away, she remains "resilient" and "happy for the families being reunited", as she experiences a wide array of emotions: "grief, worry and happiness all mixed together." And she makes a strong distinction between the people of Gaza from the Hamas militants who took control of Gaza nearly two decades ago. Ms. Ron-Kendall values "life, every life", she wants to see as many of the hostages as possible return to their loved ones, at any cost, even if it meant her father's killers evading justice. And she would wholeheartedly like to see the people of Gaza "come back to some sort of normality.... we value life, every life"
