Is the government open to changing President Macron's unpopular pension reform?

0
France's new finance minister Eric Lombard has suggested that the government is open to modifying President Macron's unpopular pension reform. The reform, which involves raising the retirement age to 64, was signed into law in April 2023, amid widespread protests. Any potential concessions are part of an effort by Prime Minister Francois Bayrou to court opposition parties, in particular the Socialists, in the hopes that they won't back a potential no confidence vote against him.
