Vinicius, Bonmati favourites to win this year's Ballon d'Or in post-Messi/Ronaldo era

Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior and FC Barcelona playmaker Aitana Bonmati are the favourites to win the 2024 Ballon d'Or in Paris on Monday evening. The men's shortlist for this year's edition of the prestigious individual football award is the first since 2003 to feature neither Lionel Messi nor Cristiano Ronaldo, who won the prize 13 times between them.
