Nasrallah death raises question of Israeli ground offensive in Lebanon
Israel said Saturday that it killed Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in a strike on Beirut late Friday, raising questions of a potential ground offensive into Lebanon. “Israel says its troops are ready, but they’ve not been given the greenlight yet,” FRANCE 24's Claire Paccalin said, adding that “Hezbollah is clearly significantly weakened, but that doesn’t mean that a ground operation will be risk-free for Israeli soldiers”.
