FRANCE 24 report: Pakistan's Baloch separatist movement gaining momentum

Coordinated attacks on August 26 in Balochistan, south-west Pakistan, raise many questions about the deteriorating security situation in the province, which is in the grip of a separatist insurgency and armed Islamist groups. At least 70 people died, including 14 soldiers, in coordinated attacks claimed by the BLA, the Baloch Liberation Army. The separatist movement has been waging an insurgency for almost two decades, but never launched before so many coordinated attacks simultaneously. FRANCE 24’s Shahzaib Wahlah reports.
