Alfie Pavey returns!

The popular 29-year-old striker makes a welcome return to the Saunders Transport Community Stadium for his second spell in yellow and blue.

Alfie’s first Farnborough spell in 2023/24 saw him net 8 goals in 10 appearances, earning him a move to National League outfit Woking.

This season, the experienced frontman has been part of the Eastbourne Borough side that has propelled to second place in The Vanarama National League South.

Manager Spencer Day said: “We’ve gone and taken an fan favourite; we’ve got the buy back option on him from Woking.

“An initial 28-days, but I think he’s made it clear he’s probably not going to stay full-time. He’s someone that’s already made it clear that he would like to be considered for next year.

“It’s someone very popular that we know, so we’re back to two strikers.

“There’s a financial cost to this. I’m very grateful to Eastbourne because I’m afraid it all just comes down to money again. Eastbourne have been fantastic in the support on the financials, so really fair play to them.”

Alfie is available for selection for this Saturday’s Vanarama National League South clash at Dorking Wanderers.

Pavey has been allocated shirt number 9.
