Whitecaps tab Jesper Sorensen as head coach

The Vancouver Whitecaps named Jesper Sorensen as the club's new head coach on Tuesday.

Sorensen, 51, agreed to a two-year contract with the Whitecaps.

He posted a 37-19-17 record in over two years with Brondby IF of the Danish Superliga. He also served as head coach of Denmark's U-21 squad in 2021 and 2022.
