Phillies activate IF Alec Bohm from IL

The Philadelphia Phillies reinstated infielder Alec Bohm from the 10-day injured list prior to Sunday's finale of a three-game series against the visiting New York Mets.

Catcher Aramis Garcia was designated for assignment to make room for Bohm on the 28-man roster.

Bohm, 28, initially was placed on the injured list Sept. 6, retroactive to Sept. 3, because of a left hand strain.
