Twins activate OF Byron Buxton from IL

The Minnesota Twins activated outfielder Byron Buxton from the 10-day injured list on Thursday.

Buxton has been sidelined since Aug. 13 with right hip inflammation.

He is batting .275 with 16 home runs, 49 RBIs and 54 runs in 90 games this season.

The oft-injured Buxton has played more than 92 games just once in his 10 seasons, all with the Twins. The second overall selection
