The FPL price of every Aston Villa player has been revealed for 2025/26
The masterminds of the world’s leading fantasy football game have unveiled the prices of every player you can add to your imaginary squad at the beginning of the 2025/26 season.
Aston Villa have 34 players included in the initial list for Fantasy Premier League, the official fantasy football game of the Premier League, and you might find one or two of them surprising. I know I did.
There’s something beautifully simplistic about the game’s £100m squad cost limit and the fact that Ollie Watkins costs £9m. I’ve long argued that the true fee every transfer in football can be calculated by dividing the actual fee by ten and that theory holds water in an FPL world. It’s very comforting.
Other surprises include Morgan Rogers starting the season at the £7m mark and Ezri Konsa, who also cracked 100 points last season, being available for £4.5m.
Enzo Barrenechea being included at all is an affront to reality but there are always a few that need tidying up after launch. You also have the opportunity to add Lino Cruz da Silva and Ben Broggio to your line-up if you move quickly.
Villa have a couple of new signings included, of course. Goalkeeper Marco Bizot and striker Zépiqueno Redmond are both £4.5m players.
FPL is of course a game of deft personnel management and unearthing differentiators. Here’s your first of 2025/26: Donyell Malen is listed as a midfielder. That’s worth £5.5m of anyone’s virtual money.
FPL changes for 2025/26
Over the last couple of weeks, FPL has announced a string of changes to the game for the upcoming season.
They include:
- Changes to the Bonus Points System, boosting the value of goalkeeper saves that keep out shots from inside the penalty area as well as penalty saves and a massive increase in bonus points for goal-line clearances by outfielders
- A new cap on points for defensive contributions and updated calculations to include ball recoveries in defensive contributions numbers for midfielders and forwards
- Simplified definitions around assists that take the intended target of a pass or cross out of the equation and award the assist if the goalscorer receives the ball in the box with no more than one (accidental and/or deflected) defensive touch before it gets there
- More chips – every manager will get two of every chip, meaning that there’s a Bench Boost, Free Hit, Triple Captain and Wildcard for both the first half of the season and the second
- More free transfers – specifically, Gameweek 16 will see managers topped up to a maximum of five free transfers to account for their players as they head off to the Africa Cup of Nations
