Putin: Armenia, Russia could reach record level of trade 

ArmInfo. Armenia and Russia could reach a record level of trade by the end of 2024. This was stated by Vladimir Putin, the Russian President, on October 8 at a meeting with RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in the Kremlin.   Putin said at the meeting, suggesting that they begin with economic matters.

According to the head of the Russian Federation, trade and economic relations are developing very energetically and successfully. Last year, trade turnover reached $7.4 billion, and in the first half of the current year it increased 2.5 times, exceeding $8.3 billion.   Putin said.

As Putin pointed out, Russia is the leading investor in the Armenian economy, having invested a total of $4 billion. He also noted that the collaboration through the intergovernmental commission and business council is yielding good results.  Putin stressed the importance of humanitarian cooperation. the Russian president said.

The meeting is taking place on the sidelines of the CIS summit. The main topic of the talks, as previously reported, will be the normalization of relations between Baku and Yerevan. Earlier today, Putin held a bilateral meeting with the President of Azerbaijan.
