Mikhail Mishustin: Without harmonization of public service provision  in the Union space, it will be very difficult to maintain a single  labor market in the future

ArmInfo.Without harmonization of public services provision in the Union space, it will be very difficult for us to maintain a single labor market in the future. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin stated this during a panel session of the Eurasian Economic Forum in Yerevan.

"Today it is obvious that a robust IT industry and proprietary technologies are needed to build a data economy. Russia already produces more than half of its domestic server platforms and information storage systems," he said. In this vein, the head of the Russian government added that the Russian Federation has advanced digital technologies, platforms, and expertise in manufacturing complex electronic devices. He invited colleagues from the Union to adopt Russian innovations, collaborate to increase demand and enhance digital sovereignty and the joint economy.

"The time is approaching when we need to actively protect our common digital technology market from non-regional companies. Together we must focus on training personnel. Developers, engineers for creating complex equipment, and big data analysts are in demand, of course, in all countries of the Union," Mishustin noted.  According to the Russian Prime Minister, cooperation among EAEU member states in these areas,  will enable the EAEU to become a successful and advanced association. "Effective digital transformation will help us make a leap into the future and ensure well-being for nearly 190 million citizens living in our countries," he concluded.
