ArmInfo.The disinformation spread by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense claiming that the Armenian Armed Forces opened fire in the direction of Azerbaijani positions is aimed at creating a favorable information field for any potential aggressive actions on their part, should they make such a political decision.

Arman Egoyan, Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on European Integration, made this assessment in a conversation with journalists on September 5.  At the same time, he did not rule out the theoretical possibility of provocations by Azerbaijan, even during negotiations for signing a peace treaty.  Recently, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry has been constantly accusing the Armenian side of shelling the positions of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces. In response, Yerevan rejects these accusations, calling them disinformation. For example, today before noon the RA Ministry of Defense "managed" to refute such enemy disinformation twice.
