Kazakhstan’s banking sector shows strong profit growth in 8M2025

Kazakhstan’s banking sector reported a net profit of 1.8 trillion tenge ($3.24 billion) for January-August 2025, a 14.8 percent increase year-on-year. August profits were 223 billion tenge ($401.4 million), down 5.5 percent from August 2024, while July saw a record monthly profit of 262 billion tenge ($471.6 million).
