6 Armenian athletes to take part in European Judo Championship

Head coach of Armenian national judo team Armen Nazaryan told Mediamax Sport reporter that 6 athletes will take part in the event.

“We finished the training camp in Abovyan yesterday. I am content with the athletes’ readiness, they are determined about the upcoming tournament. We need to do our best here to qualify for other tournaments this year and European Championship with an extended team,” Nazaryan said.

Hovhannes Davtyan, Hovhannes Aleksanyan and Vahagn Azizyan will compete in 60 kg weight category, while Arsen Ghazaryan and Ferdinand Karapetyan in 73 kg category and Andranik Chaparyan in 81 kg category.

The Armenian team will depart for Czech Republic after this tournament to have a joint training camp.
