NHL making plans for 100th anniversary season both with, without 2018 Olympics

The league is drawing up two different schedules for the 2017-18 season. One is for an Olympic break in February, the other for a normal uninterrupted season. Either way, the NHL’s 100th season will begin Oct. 4.
