Polish govt rejects renewed pressure from EU on rights

WARSAW, Poland (AP) — Poland's government on Wednesday rejected renewed pressure from the European Union for the way it is consolidating power, and opposition lawmakers pushed ahead with a plan to occupy parliament all the way into the New Year.
