EU Rules UK Gov't Snoopers' Charter Indiscriminate Bulk Data Collection Illegal

In a landmark ruling, the European Court of Justice (ECJ) has ruled that powers demanded by UK Prime Minister Theresa May to impose general obligation to retain the bulk collection of communications data - as part of the so-called Snoopers Charter - are illegal.
