Armenian MFA: progress is not possible at this stage of NK talks

“The Armenian side has never avoided meetings. Effectiveness of those meetings has been the only expectation, yet we can only judge about the effectiveness from the point that there has not been any progress in the negotiations process up today,” Shavarsh Kocharyan told journalists. 

According to the Deputy Foreign Minister, progress is not possible at this stage of the negotiations process, as agreements reached in Vienna and Saint-Petersburg earlier this year, have not been implemented yet.

“No progress is possible as long as there is threat of renewed war and no trust between the sides, while shots and provocations are resorted on the Line of Contact,” Deputy Foreign Minister said.

Shavarsh Kocharyan emphasized that only Madrid Document is on NK negotiation table right now.
