Environmentalists Protest US Sale of Leases for Oil, Gas Production

A public auction of energy leases on US government land in the state of New Mexico on Thursday prompted demonstrations by environmental groups, which want to end the use of fossil fuels, the advocacy group Food and Water Watch said in a press release.
