Update: Turkey River crests at Elkader, removing major flood threat

ELKADER, Iowa (AP) — The National Weather Service says the Turkey River at Elkader in northeast Iowa has crested more than 5 feet below its 2008 record, relieving worried residents who'd been prepared for major flooding.
