Armenia ready to consider implementation of new projects with USAID
YEREVAN, August 10. /ARKA/. Armenian prime minister Hovik Abrahamyan received today US ambassador to Armenia Richard Mills and the newly appointed Director of USAID Armenia Deborah Grieser, the government press office said.
It said Abrahamyan congratulated Ms. Grieser on her new appointment and expressed confidence that she will use her wealth of experience for organization of efficient work of USAID Armenian Office.
Abrahamyan stressed also the importance of assistance provided by the government of USA to Armenia and the Armenian people.
Abrahamyan noted that the government is ready to consider the possibility of implementing new joint programs with USAID.
In turn, Ambassador Mills noted the importance of cooperation with the Armenian government for the country's economic development, strengthening and deepening trade and investment ties between the two countries.
The Ambassador stressed the programs implemented by USAID in the areas of tourism and agriculture. During the meetings Ambassador Mills and Hovik Abrahamyan discussed also a number of other issues of mutual interest .-- 0--
