FTSE LIVE: Footsie up close to 14 month peak as pound stays weak

Around mid session, the FTSE 100 was up 23.6 points, or 0.3 per cent at 6,832,7, just below the day's peak of 6,834.07, and close to highs last reached in June 2015.
