Armenia’s brandy production grows by 34.5 percent in six months
YEREVAN, August 1. /ARKA/. Production of brandy in Armenia increased by 34.5% in the first six months of 2016 to about 8.7 million liters as opposed to the same time span of 2015, according to the National Statistical Service.
Wine production is said to have increased by 10.8% to about 3 million liters. Also vodka production fell by 13.5% to about 3.8 million liters, while whiskey production surged by 2.6 times to 832,700 liters.
Production of champagne during the reporting period increased by 15.1% to 183,900 liters, while production of beer dropped by almost 12% to about 8.6 million liters. Production of soft drinks fell by 6.5% to 30.9 million liters. -0-
