PM: Armenia leading CIS country in terms of freedom of economy and doing business
YEREVAN, June 22. /ARKA/. Armenia is the leading country across the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in terms of freedom of economy and doing business, as evidenced by numerous ratings of reputable international organizations, Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan said today.
"Armenia’s investment policy was created and operates based on liberal principles seeking a closer integration in the international market," the Prime Minister said on Wednesday when speaking at an international IT conference on outsourcing and investment in Yerevan.
Abrahamyan noted that IT companies in Armenia enjoy a set of tax breaks, preferential trade regimes and highly skilled staff.
The Prime Minister stressed that due to favorable investment and business environment, availability of infrastructure and competitive advantages Armenia is an attractive country for investors.
According to World Bank report "Doing Business", Armenia occupies the 35th position among 189 countries, the best standing among CIS countries.-0-
