Venezuelans were recovering from a night of looting and massive protests Wednesday as government offices closed for the remainder of the week while a worsening energy crisis continues to cause daily blackouts, The Associated Press reported. Earlier in the week, the government began imposing four-hour rolling blackouts to save power, but the capital of Caracas was spared any blackouts.
