Yerevan municipality ready to improve housing conditions of servicemen killed and wounded in Karabakh
YEREVAN, April 27. /ARKA/. Yerevan Municipality said it is ready to consider proposals to improve the housing conditions of families of servicemen who were killed or wounded in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone, residing in the capital.
Mayor Taron Margaryan told a Council of Elders meeting today that he instructed relevant bodies to examine the living conditions of these families and submit relating proposals.
"When we have exact data, we will prepare a draft decision of the Council of Elders, which I am sure will be approved by all", he said.
The mayor also presented the list of measures which are being implemented by the Municipality in promoting residents of Nagorno-Karabakh , as well as the families of the killed servicemen living in Yerevan.
Margaryan said that in early April, the capital city administration sent 100 tons of food aid to Nagorno-Karabakh, while the 12 administrative districts of Yerevan sent equipment, food and construction materials.
"Nothing can make for loss of a son, husband or father, but it is our duty to support the families of our soldiers, to be close to them and keep them in the center of our attention," the mayor said.-0-
